VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) - Two people were assaulted in downtown Vancouver on Christmas Eve, according to police.

The Vancouver Police Department gave a brief statement on X, Tuesday evening.

"Can you ID? Earlier this afternoon, this suspect assaulted two strangers in downtown Vancouver," the department wrote on X.

Police shared a photo in the post of a light-skinned person with a dark brown beard, wearing a dark-colored hoodie, with a cap, a dark-colored shirt, and khaki or light brown pants.

Vancouver police did not specify at what time or in what specific location the assault happened, or any other details, when asked for clarification.
