ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- Rocky River City Council will hold a public hearing on the city's 2025 proposed budget on Monday.
The hearing, set for 7 p.m. at City Hall, comes before council is expected to approve the document at its Dec. 16 meeting.
The budget, submitted last month, calls for just over $132.6 million in spending across city departments.
That marks an increase of about $7.5 million over the 2024 budget.
The largest increase comes in capital improvement spending. The proposal calls for the city to set aside more than $27.6 million for capital projects in 2025, up from $14 million budgeted in 2024.
The city plans to spend over $1 million more on its police and fire departments next year.
The proposal also includes a 3.6% pay raise for Mayor Pamela Bobst, boosting her salary to $176,900 next year. Since 2021, Bobst's annual salary has increased a total $18,460, or about 11.6%.
