After a little more than a year, Red's Savoy Pizza in downtown Sioux City has closed.

The restaurant, noted for what it calls "'Sota Style" pizzas, opened on Nov. 15, 2023, and ceased operations on Nov. 27. The Red's Savoy chain is based out of the Twin Cities and offers pies with thin, cracker-crust, subtly spicy sauce and loads of toppings.

Anna Mailliard, director of brand marketing for Red's Savoy, said the company doesn't have any immediate plans to open another location in Iowa any time soon.

"However with the right location and franchisee partners we would welcome the the opportunity."
