Georgia transfer defensive tackle Jamaal Jarrett's previous relationship with Arkansas defensive line coach Deke Adams played a huge part in him officially visiting Razorbacks.
"Coach Adams, he recruited me hard in high school and I was like 'Well, now I'm in the portal, I might as well test my options.'" Jarrett said. "Seeing Coach Adams, I was like, 'I've got to go visit.'"
Jarrett, 6-5 and 350 pounds, was recruited by Adams while attending Grimsley High School in Greensboro, N.C. He eventually signed with Georgia over offers from Alabama, Auburn, North Carolina, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee, Penn State and others.
He was rated a 4-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports as a senior and was selected to play in the All-American Bowl.
