OLIVE HILL, KY (WOWK) -- Two people died in a collision on US 60 in Carter County, Kentucky Friday evening.
According to a release from the Kentucky State Police, the two-vehicle crash was reported around 8:56 p.m. near Greasy Creek Road. Investigators found that the driver of a Chevrolet, Austin Estepp, 28, lost control while travelling east on US 60 and crashed into the passenger side of a Chrysler in the westbound lane.
Estepp and a passenger in his vehicle, Hunter Wallace, 18, were pronounced dead at 9:45 p.m. by the Carter County Coroner's Office. The driver of the Chrysler was not injured.
KSP was assisted by the Carter County Sheriff's Office, Olive Hill Fire Department and Carter County EMS. The investigation is ongoing.
